dua to deal with the September 11, 2001, tragedy

A view of the fountain located within the site of the North Tower of the World Trade Center

If My slaves ask you about Me, I am near. I answer the call of the caller when he calls on Me. They should therefore respond to Me and believe in Me so that hopefully they will be rightly guided. (Quran 2:186)

As you leave your home say:

In the name of Allah. I depend on Allah. There is no ability or power except by the leave of Allah. (Bismillahi tawakkaltu alal-lah. La Haola Wala Qowwata illa Billah).

For those alive under the rubble, the injured, the victims and those trying to help:

O Creator of all creation! Bless those still waiting to be rescued with patience and endurance until they are found.

Ya Allah, bless those officers and volunteers with energies who are doing their best to rescue people entrapped.

Ya Allah, give speedy recovery physically and spiritually to those who are injured in this tragedy.

Os' Lord of the universe, give comfort to the relatives and loved ones of the victims.

Dua for the terrorists and oppressors of the world:

Ya Allah guide them to the right path and help them deal with their anger and frustration in a positive way. Save them and the world from their evil.

Seeking Protection of Allah:

The Unseen of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah and the whole affair will be returned to Him. So worship Him and put your trust in Him. Your Lord is not unaware of what you do (Quran: 11:123).

Allah is enough for me. There is no god but Him. I have put my trust in Him. He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne (Quran 9:129).

..the Best of Guardians is Allah. He is the Most Merciful of the merciful (Quran 12:64).

In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing in earth or in heavens can hurt and He is the Hearer, the Knower. (say three times after morning and evening prayers) (Bismillahil lazi la yadorro ma'a ismihi shaion fil ardi wala fis samai wa howas Sami ul Aleem.)
