Kid-Friendly Recipes for Ramadan: No-Bake Cheesecakes

Ramadan offers special memories for families and many of them revolve around making and eating good food. As a special feature of our online children’s clases – Adam’s World Club and Colors of Islam Clubs – we have been sharing delicious and nutritious recipes that are also fun to make and encourage family bonding. This recipe for No-Bake Cheesecakes is a quick dessert the entire family will love.

May the recipes you prepare bring delight to your taste buds and warmth to your hearts, as you share in the bounty of Allah's provisions. And may the bonds strengthened in the kitchen extend beyond the walls of your home, connecting you to the wider community of believers around the world. Ameen.

Mesh strainer

Large bowl

Whisk or spatula

Ziploc bag

Six jars, cups or muffin tins

1 cup berries (for blending!)

12 oz low-fat cream cheese

1 1/2 cups light whipped cream

1/2 cup sweetener or powdered sugar

1 cup graham crackers

For garnish: more berries ( strawberries, blackberries), anything else you might like!

  1.  Blend your berries and push them through a fine mesh strainer to remove the seeds
  2. In a large bowl combine the cream cheese and berry puree.
  3. Slowly add your sweetener/sugar and mix until light and fluffy.
  4. Carefully fold your whipped cream into the berry mixture until everything is combined.
  5. Start to assemble your cheesecake! Grab your graham crackers and add them into the Ziploc bag. Mash them until they become small crumbs with either your hands, elbows, or kitchen utensils.
  6. Arrange the six jars/cups/muffin tins and evenly distribute the graham cracker crumbs in the bottom of each.
  7. Grab your berry mixture and evenly distribute it on top of each. Cover and refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.
  8. Now top with more berries or anything else you might like and serve!
