In this newsletter

Assalamu alaikum:

Alhamdu lillah, the first Night of Power, Laylatul Qadr, is this Sunday May 2. We invite you to join Islamic scholars and leaders, for a night of reflection, remembrance of Allah and Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, as we motivate ourselves to reach the end of Ramadan with a strong finish.

First Night of Power

Please keep praying for India and its neighbor with over 10,000 people dying daily. Ask Allah for mercy and guidance for all.

The tragedy also serves as a reminder that Ramadan next year is never guaranteed for any of us. This is why these last days are so important. We can sprint forward to do more, as the Prophet did.

In these last ten, Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, used to tighten his waist belt, pray all night, and wake up his family for the night prayers (Bukhari and Muslim).

The finish line is near and we want to move ahead quickly to catch up. This can only be done if we free our time, self-evaluate, and plan our worship and good deeds, pushing ourselves as we may never have before. We have some suggestions on how to do that in our articles this week.

Please take time to recommit to Ramadan today, and switch from being a marathoner to a sprinter. Every second counts for the win.

Peace,
Sound Vision Team

My Intentions & My Time As I Reach the End of Ramadan: Questions to Ask As we advance to the last part of Ramadan, let us ask ourselves these questions to evaluate how well we have done, what we can do to improve, and how to reach the end of Ramadan spiritually stronger and better.

Reaching the End of Ramdan: 9 Ways to Spend Laylatul Qadr

Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, used to strive hard in worship during the last ten days of Ramadan in a way that he did not strive at any other times (Muslim). Roll up your sleeves and welcome the last third of the month! Here are nine ways to spend your last 10 days to make this Ramadan transformative.

Make Sincere Dua for Laylatul Qadr
During Ramadan, and especially in these last 10 days – with a special focus on catching Laylatul Qadr – concentrate on making the best Dua. Make a personal list and write it down, identifying everything you need from Allah. The list should include personal struggles, things you need assistance with, desires you have for yourselves and your family. Now is the time to beg Allah for His assistance, His guidance, His forgiveness. And be sure to call upon Him by His Most Beautiful Names. Here are 15 duas for Laylatul Qadr that should be included in every list.
