I have marched in many Black Lives Matter protests, but the anger and the crowd size I saw on Saturday in Chicago I have never seen before. (I maintained the same COVID physical distancing recommendations that are now being implemented to allow Masjids to reopen as I participated).

How Much is Too Much? “Get out of the shower!” your little brother shouts as he bangs on the washroom door. “You’ve been in there for twenty minutes!”  The 20 minutes you spend in the shower, use up 400 liters of water. 

Two trends are largely responsible for the rise in homelessness over the past 15- 20 years: a growing shortage of affordable rental housing and a simultaneous increase in poverty. Below is an overview of current poverty and housing statistics.
