Unlike the Jewish community of the US, Muslims in America have neither money power nor media power. Muslims in America, however, do have one weapon with which they can move forward provided they unite to use it effectively: their vote.

RadioIslam.com conducted an interview with Dr. Jamal Badawi, a leading North American Islamic scholar, professor and author, on the issue of Muslims and electoral politics. The interview was conducted by Itrath Syed and Samana Siddiqui.

The following speech was given by United States Attorney General Eric Holder at the annual dinner for the organization Muslim Advocates in December 2010 in Milbrae, California. He was the keynote speaker at the event.

We pray that new Muslim democracies will keep the purpose of Sharia in mind along with the fact that God sent all Prophets to help people stand up to establish justice (Quran 57:25).
