Muslim families around the world, despite having different cultures and traditions, follow very similar daily routines. Our lives revolve around the worship of Allah. Our eating, our bathing, our dressing, and our resting all include some aspect of worship.
Muslims believe that Allah is the Creator of everything that exists. We believe He is our Lord and Sustainer, and we believe He manages the affairs of His entire creation.
Allah, the Entirely Merciful, has given us the gift of the Quran. During Ramadan, we should take time to reflect on the significance of that glorious gift. We should also express gratitude to the One Who bestowed it.
Ramadan is the month of the Quran, the Book that is meant to be widely and continuously recited. During Ramadan, we should engage our tongues with Quranic recitation and plentiful dhikr (remembrance of Allah). We should only speak truthful, beneficial words.
Throughout the year, our goal as Muslims must be to fully benefit from the rewards and opportunities of Ramadan and Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Decree).
