Since its inception in 1988, Sound Vision’s aims have been purely religious, spiritual development, religious education and edification, as well as bridge-building with the neighbors of other faith. We have focused our efforts on “helping tomorrow’s Muslims today”, as our motto goes.
Free people control their time and money. Slaves control neither. So let's take charge of ourselves through planning for ourselves now so there is a purpose to our lives beyond the mundane routines of earning and consuming.
Will you live to see 2008? What about June 2007? None of us knows. That's why planning and implementing our plans help us use our short time on this planet wisely. God wants us to live a thoughtful life of hope, working for the future of this world and the hereafter.
If we don't plan for our time and money, time and money will control us and we will be nothing but slaves running day and night achieving hardly anything for this world or for the Everlasting life. We will be lost in the competitive wilderness of life until we reach our graves.
"I will lose 10 lbs"; "I will exercise more"; "I will spend my money more carefully" - these are just some examples of the kind of resolutions many of us make at various time markers in our lives, most notably, at the beginning of a new year. But for most Muslims, few, if any, are aimed at contributing to Islam on a community level.
Cultivate harmony among neighbors through art, media, strategic communication, and education.
The vision of Sound Vision is to establish peace, justice, fairness, and equity in the world.
