The media and politicians have sat up and started to take notice of Muslims ins the political arena but we've still got a long way to go. Why? It seems that for every two steps forward, we move one step back.

Asking these questions can not only give you an understanding of where the candidate stands in relation to the issues discussed, but they will also bring them to the attention of the candidates themselves. They may not even know about them, or they may not know that these are even issues of concern to Muslims in America.

Almost all the Muslim organizations have unitedly spoken by endorsing George W. Bush for the next president of the United States. Now it's time for each and every one of us individual Muslims to compromise.
