Once Khalifa Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, noticed a bird on a tree. He sighed deeply saying “O, bird! How lucky you are! You sit on the tree, you eat from the fruit, then fly away, you fear no accountability or punishment. I wish I was like you.”

If you had seen the two men, broken and bleeding from the rocks thrown at them, you would have easily dismissed the idea that today, we would be writing an article about their success story - especially the one whose shoes were filled with blood.

As the United States Supreme Court judges sit in their chamber, to their right, front, and the left sides are friezes depicting the 18 greatest lawgivers of the world. The second frieze to the right features a person holding a copy of the Quran, the Islamic holy book.

While Muslims love and deeply respect Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, others regularly heap abuse on him in ways that are very painful for Muslims to bear. This requires patience and fortitude.

Abdul Malik Mujahid reminisces about the simplicity and beauty of the Masjid of the Prophet, along with the many roles it played in the early Muslim community, from a place of prayer, both individual and collective, to a hub of social interaction and social services for all. 

For the Prophet, peace was not a strategy he employed, it was the goal of his peace movement. He preached peace and justice leading to the establishment of a peace sanctuary in the city of Madinah where even animals cannot be harmed, hunting unless for food was forbidden and trees cannot be cut.

Hope. The Prophet had hope for the future. The Prophet also remained optimistic about the situation and the future. Let us remember that if we look only at what is today, we don't consider what could be in the future with the Will and Help of Allah.
