Like with other social ills such as domestic violence, sexual abuse is another arena where parents and friends can help support a victim and assist them in getting help.

Issues of sexuality are generally considered more private in non Western countries than in Western ones.  A friend may be the first person a victim of sexual abuse may confide in.

Women's rights in Islam is not a "women's issue". It is a concern of all Muslims. Muslim men must stand up for justice and support women's rights. There are practical things you as a man can do living in a Muslim country.

About 200 people attended the rally, of all religious, cultural and racial backgrounds Those who cared to show up need to be thanked for their concern for humanity. In all, about only 20 Muslims attended.

Their number is not known with certainty. Perhaps they were only two or  twenty. Regardless, these women approached the man who had thus far, given them hope for this world and beyond.

Literally, Hijab is an Arabic word which means curtain. In the context of Islam, it is used to describe the general rules of dress and modesty for both men and women. In the West, it is often used by Muslims to describe the headscarf that Muslim women wear.
