Quran and Hadith about God's Mercy

Quran

The Believers, men and women, are protectors one of another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil: they observe regular prayers, practice regular charity, and obey God and His Apostle. On them will God pour His mercy: for God is Exalted in power, Wise (9:71).

God accept the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and repent soon afterwards; to them will God turn in mercy: For God is full of knowledge and wisdom (4:17).

Then those who believe in God, and hold fast to Him,- soon will He admit them to mercy and grace from Himself, and guide them to Himself by a straight way (4:175).

And obey God and the Apostle; that ye may obtain mercy (3:132)

Moses prayed: "O my Lord! forgive me and my brother! admit us to Thy mercy! for Thou art the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!" (7:151).

When the Quran is read, listen to it with attention, and hold your peace: that ye may receive Mercy (7:204).

Their Lord doth give them glad tidings of a Mercy from Himself, of His good pleasure, and of gardens for them, wherein are delights that endure (9:21).

When We make mankind taste of some mercy after adversity hath touched them, behold! they take to plotting against Our Signs! Say: "Swifter to plan is God!" Verily, Our messengers record all the plots that ye make! (10:21)

He said: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray?" (15:56).

Hadith

Ramadan is a month whose beginning is Mercy, whose middle is Forgiveness and whose end is freedom from the fire." (as related in Ibn Khuzaimah)

Those who say, when afflicted with calamity, "To God we belong and to Him we return," (will receive) blessings and mercy from God, and they are the ones who receive guidance."

Allah possesses 100 mercies, only one of which He has sent down to the world, through which His creatures are merciful to each other. And 99 mercies has He held back, and with them He shall have mercy on people on the Day of Judgment (Bukhari).
