Spouse abuse is described by The Family Violence Prevention Fund as "a pattern of purposeful behaviors, directed at achieving compliance from or control over the victim." Muslim families are not immune from this social ill. Stop the hurt now!

Their number is not known with certainty. Perhaps they were only two or  twenty. Regardless, these women approached the man who had thus far, given them hope for this world and beyond. 

"Domestic violence does not affect many people" or "Battering is only a momentary loss of temper". These are myths that need to be cleared. Here is a list of  facts that we may be unaware of.

Hope. The Prophet had hope for the future. The Prophet also remained optimistic about the situation and the future. Let us remember that if we look only at what is today, we don't consider what could be in the future with the Will and Help of Allah.

Today, America's Muslims are enjoying the fruits of the civil rights struggle and its impact on the country's immigration laws. Were it not for the sacrifices of African-Americans and their supporters, it is highly unlikely that discrimination based on color and ethnicity would have changed in America. 

The beauty of one’s faith is shunning away from all non-productive work. You can do a whole lot of things, but the important thing to remember is: do what makes the best use of your time. This is the key to avoiding the void in life.
