When a consonant occurs twice without a vowel sound
in between, it is written once only and the sign of shuddah is placed
over it. This sign is also called tashdid. The letter with shuddah must
be pronounced twice; the first one always with sukuun and second one with
vowel sounds of either fatha, kasra or dhummah.
