| Description |
A seventeenth-century Suhrawardi mystic of Ucch (Pakistan) composed a work called Jawahir al-Awliya (Jewels of the Saints), that contains an interesting chapter on the virtues and blessing powers of Sarkar-e-Madina Hadrat Muhammad's (saw) ninety-nine names. The author recounts various traditions connected with their use. Hadrat Ghawth al-A'zam, Sultan al Awliya, Shaykh Abd'al-Qadir Jilani (Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu) is reported to have said that a person who recites them once every day and every night will be preserved from all kinds of affliction, and his faith will always remain undisturbed.

| Something to Ask... | My Rubb, I beg of you good that lies in this night and good that follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil that lies in this night and from the evil of that which follows it. My Rubb! I seek refuge in You from lethargy and the misery of old age. O Allah! I seek Your Protection from the torment of Hell-fire and the punishment of the grave. |
