Speaker: Khurram Murad
Muslims living in a non-Muslim environment are always worried about and protective of their children. They should be; children are the future of any nation, tribe or a country. As Muslims our responsibilities are much greater, because the future of Islam depends upon our children.
Islamic scholar and activist Khurram Murad brings a unique perspective to this discussion. In this vide, he advises: "Think of all the children living around you as your own and think of this land as your own land. Only by trying to save everyone, we will be able to save our own families: otherwise, saving our children will remain an elusive, selfish, and defensive strategy."
In this speech by the veteran Islamic worker, Khuram Murad makes a powerful argument that saving all of society, Muslim and non-Muslim, is really the only way to truly save our children as well.
Talks come and talks go, words evaporate into thin air, but ocassionally a few words leave a true and deep impression on the hearts of the people. Such talks are few and fewer indeed are the speakers that are able to bring life to their message and unfold to the listeners the vast, spacious yet simple world of Islam, creating within them the desire to give up all and live for it.
