Problems with the Proposed Settlement
- Although it is still under approval process, the settlement is already
failing in its field tests. If the case was about the accuracy of McDonald's
information, it is still a problem in the field:
- Muslims are reporting that McDonald's sales persons, including managers,
claim that the French fries are vegetarian.
- They are also likely to say the same thing about the hash browns.
- A Muslim therefore is likely to consume most of the McDonald's salad
dressings, McNugget sauce, etc. thinking they are consuming Halal food
because of the common sense answer by a McDonald's employee.
