| 092.001. By the Night as it conceals (the light); |
092.001. By the night enshrouding |
| 092.002. By the Day as it appears in glory; |
092.002. And the day resplendent |
| 092.003. By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- |
092.003. And Him Who hath created male and female, |
| 092.004. Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse. |
092.004. Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). |
| 092.005. So he who gives (in charity) and fears (God), |
092.005. As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) |
| 092.006. And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- |
092.006. And believeth in goodness; |
| 092.007. We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. |
092.007. Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. |
| 092.008. But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient, |
092.008. But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, |
| 092.009. And gives the lie to the best,- |
092.009. And disbelieveth in goodness; |
| 092.010. We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery; |
092.010. Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. |
