Translation of the Quran

[Sura Index]

016. An-Nahl - 128 ayah(s)

Abdullah Yusuf Ali's Translation Mohammed Marmaduke Pickthall's Translation
016.121. He showed his gratitude for the favours of God, who chose him, and guided him to a Straight Way. 016.121. Thankful for His bounties; He chose him and He guided him unto a straight path.
016.122. And We gave him Good in this world, and he will be, in the Hereafter, in the ranks of the Righteous. 016.122. And We gave him good in the world, and in the Hereafter he is among the righteous.
016.123. So We have taught thee the inspired (Message), "Follow the ways of Abraham the True in Faith, and he joined not gods with God." 016.123. And afterward We inspired thee (Muhammad, saying): Follow the religion of Abraham, as one by nature upright. He was not of the idolaters.
016.124. The Sabbath was only made (strict) for those who disagreed (as to its observance); But God will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, as to their differences. 016.124. The Sabbath was appointed only for those who differed concerning it, and lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ.
016.125. Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance. 016.125. Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth from His way, and He is Best Aware of those who go aright.
016.126. And if ye do catch them out, catch them out no worse than they catch you out: But if ye show patience, that is indeed the best (course) for those who are patient. 016.126. If ye punish, then punish with the like of that wherewith ye were afflicted. But if ye endure patiently, verily it is better for the patient.
016.127. And do thou be patient, for thy patience is but from God; nor grieve over them: and distress not thyself because of their plots. 016.127. Endure thou patiently (O Muhammad). Thine endurance is only by (the help of) Allah. Grieve not for them, and be not in distress because of that which they devise.
016.128. For God is with those who restrain themselves, and those who do good. 016.128. Lo! Allah is with those who keep their duty unto Him and those who are doers of good.

Surah Ayah
Something to Ask...
O Allah!
I ask You by every name that You have, that You have called Yourself by, that You have taught any of Your Creation, that You have revealed in Your Book, or that You may have kept secret with Yourself.
Make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my breast, the dispeller of my sorrows, the eraser of my anxieties and worries.
