Dear Mr. Edelman and Mr. Silberman:

Please be advised that the following individuals,__________________, ____________________, _______________________, state their objection to the proposed settlement in Penelope Block v. McDonald's Corporation, Case No. 01 CH 9137 for the following reasons: I object to the proposed settlement in Block v. McDonald's Corporation, Case No. 01 CH 9137 because I feel that it discriminates against me based on religious faith. The proposed settlement provides benefits to people of the Hindu faith and people who observe Kosher dietary guidelines by providing them specific allocations from the Cy Pres fund, while denying any allocation to members of the class whose claims and injuries are based upon their Muslim faith and their observance of the Halal or Zabiha food guidelines. It also fails to provide for Muslim representation on the Advisory Board to be created under the terms of the Settlement Agreement.

Please be aware of our desire to present these concerns and objections in person and through testimony at the hearing scheduled for August 22, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Please consider this our written notification of our intention to present our objections at the hearing in person.
