Comment:Your article was highly informative, and I learnt a lot from it. I had to do a project on preserving immigrant culture and how women of Islam still undergo this abhorable proceedure. I believe that in the 21st century, women of the western world have egalitarian rights with men, and thus women in eatern countries and Africa, should not suffer this inhumane treatment to their sexuality. Education may hopefully irradicate this proceedure. Thank you for the information.

Comment:For History Day we are suppose to chose a topic on rights. I chose to do Muslim Wemon Rights and your article has really helped me. But, I take into consideration, the female circumsisions: I think that all three of those procedures are mutilating and inhumane. But thank you for your information and hard work. It is appreciated and I am sure that when i go into competition, I will do very well. Thank you.

Comment:This article was very informative--I have been trying to find information about this subject for some time, and this article really cleared things up for me. I was appalled a few months ago when I read a book about raising children in Islam that said that female circumcision was a recommended practice, since the only type of female circumcision I was familiar with was the mutilating, inhumane, and altogether demeaning type. This article really helped me to understand this topic better.
