Comment:I really appreciate the explanations but leaves a lot of questions unanswered. e.g
He says, "Also, if your home, your family, your property or your land or religion is threatened, then you may defend it with your life. That person is a martyr." AGREED but why no comment about Palestinians fighting Israili forces.

Comment:As-Salamualaikum, i recently attended a talk by brother Hamza (May Allah (swt) bless you and your family in this life and the hereafter) Marshallah the article represents his beliefs on the ever so sensitive topic of "terrorism" just like his talk. As a member of a muslim community and a young muslim at that i myself was very impressed by the level of sophistication of brother Hamza, his teachings represent those of a loyal muslim. Scholar's as such whom hold the knowledge of the Qu'ran and Hadith of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) can educate the truth about our auspicious religion. I think i speak for many when i congratulate brother Hamza for condemning terrorism and the killing of Allah (swt) creations. As-salamualaikum.

Just want to comment that the comments by Sheikh Hamza have almost always seemed very rational and logical - true to Islam that is. This interview being no different.
To highlight just one point which I feel important is that if Muslims really want to adhere to Islam, then instead of nurturing so much animosity towards the 'West' for its biased foreign policies and treatment of the Muslim and Arab Countries - we as true muslims should be praying to Allah to show guidance to these oppressers, instead of hoping for their doom. The message of Islam is to be spread - not to demolish all those who oppose Islam. If we did that, then we wouldn't be any different from the elite oppressers and their enforcement methods.

it helped me understand the real being of hijackers and terrorists and helped in strenghtening my belief that it wasnt muslims who hijacked the plains on 9/11..

Comment:This article basicaly confirms to the "official" white house position that muslims were responsible for 9/11. Pre 9/11 Hamza Yusuf was respected by a wide audience muslims and nonmuslims. However, after 9/11 he has made outrages comments and has comepletely become an appologist. His comments and articles has made alot of people lose respect for him.
