Comment: I just read this from a muslim web site and it is very interesting ,but i was wondering some other issue why do something that you knwo is stupid or your sence doesn't argee on. Iam muslim and i know that if i follow my realigion nothing will harm me since my religion is a like my sword and my protection. i would tell all teens like me think twice before doin it and don't say anything till u mind is clear and can think of what may happen later.

Comment:I'm using these statistics for a health assignment, and I think they're excellent! I do agree w/ many of them. Many kids in my school are awful. All people seem to talk about is who's having sex, who's smoking weed, etc. Which gives my school a bad reputation. Although we also have high-achievers (like me, 3.7 GPA, honors classes...), people tend to pay more attention to the "ghetto-ness" at the school. However, I know that I'm not a 'perfect child'- I've gotten into things from time to time- but for the most part, most of these kids who are doing these things aren't so great. Today, on the bus, I heard a group of black girls debating on whether white girls or black girls were prettier, smarter, etc. Unfortunately, in statistics, race does matter. I agree big time, hispanics and blacks definitely seem more destined to drop out. There's so much I could say, but I don't want to spend all this time writing something not that many people are gonna read....

Comment:When I read the statistics I thought they sounded very accurate and you don't really realize how many kids in your high school really do smoke and drink alcohol. I thought it was very informative and it really helped me with my homework assignment.

Comment:Being that i am a teen i feel that saying what is going wrong in the African American community is 50% problem and 50% solution, because we all know what is going on, and everybody loves to say what shouldn't be but nobody wants to help to make a change. I don't even watch the news anymore because i'm tired of seeing the negative. Nobody evey wants to talk about what needs to be done to turn this world around. i believe that if more people would start reporting the positive things about teens and getting ti out into the media, then alot of things will change because tv plays a big part in whats going on today.

Comment:I loved reading your section on teen pregnancy and teens having sex. I'm real interested in reading about that topic. It helped me a lot on my report on Why Teen Shouldn't Give into Peer Pressure on Having Sex. Although this paper is a little hypocritical for me to do, considering I am not a virgin, it has opened my eyes in considering the fact that I am part of that percentage of 15 year olds who are having sex. I am aware of the risks involved now and am rethinking my actions. And for all you other teenagers and adults who are reading this right now, I seem to be coming off as a slut. Being 15, a sophmore in high school, etc. But in fact not all, let's say trashy, girls are the only people committing to this anti-abstience act. I do well in school, I live in the nicest/richest part of town, I live with both my biological parents and my brother, I have nice clothes, good friends, I don't drink or smoke or do drugs, I cheerlead. Sex can be so sterotypical. It's assumed that only teens with "problems" are the only one's who are having sex. Ijust feel it is necessary to set this record straight that anyone is capable of committing this act. Feel free to try and email me at GastSN@fp.k12.oh.us Good luck getting through. This is my email account at my school; I dont have an email address at my home.

Comment:These statistics seem extremely accurate. If you don't think kids in your high school are doing any to all of these things, maybe you should open your eyes. And perhaps, if the kids in your high school are not doing these things, I feel bad for kids like you when they get into the real world. It's not always rainbows and butterflies, my friend.
