Comment:wow, now I actually understand why your religion of Islam emphasizes so much on modesty ... teenagers need to reeally think things about their decisions in life, and find better paths of modesty.

Comment:I first read this article because I was writing a paper for school. I was a teen mom at age 17. I am now 38 and just able to go to college now. Even though I did not intend on getting pregnant when I did and it was a struggle, I wouldn't have changed my experience for anything. I am who I am today because of the things I went through. Our trials and tribulations are here to make us stronger. Stay encouraged ladies, you can make it, I did. I'm not saying it was right or wrong, I'm just saying it happened, the baby is here, now what are you going to do. Sit and take it? or stand up and refuse to be a statistic. I refused to be a statistic. I didn't have help from the father and I didn't collect welfare, just medical. I got a job or two if need be and I took care of my responsiblity. My mother and father didn't lay down and have this child so she was my responsiblity to raise. Outside of me working we were always together. I have to say we have a beautiful bond today. She is health and 21yrs old. I am very proud of her. You can make it.
