Comment:Read Acts 2:22 It was Peter who on the instruction of Jesus led the small group and preached the first sermon. This demolishes the idea that Paul invented the crucifixion The Trinity is in full view here. The crucifixion of Jesus and the resurrection went against everything that Jews and the Greek religions taught and believed. Paul mentions the difficulty he faced. Greeks knew that mortald could not kill a god only god cou,d that. In this they were right as was the Quran in s 4:157. It was God's purpose to provide a means to do what sinful men could not do. Jesus said as much when He said "you have the mind of man and of God" when Peterobjected to the cross. The cross is both Gods ndictment of sinful man, and mercy that whoever believes in Jesus and confesses his sins 1 John 1:8-10 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
Who but God alone is pure and sinless and can't be touched by Satan.

Comment:There is a perception that Paul the apostle hijacked Christianity. He certainly was convinced that he had received revelation from God. He wrote in Galations 1:8 (translated in the New KJV): "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed."

Comment:This article has given me more insight towards an approach to religion. For instance, I believe religion is basically based on a belief. Please read through this article http://voices.yahoo.com/bible-quran-10817395.html?cat=9

Comment:Hello to all ! I am a Muslim and here it is Christmas Eve. I would like to wish all Muslims and non-muslims a very Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year ! Life is too short for arguments and i respect each and everyone's religion even if they have one or not. Just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder when one is pure of heart you need to respect everyone regardless of colour, race, creed. Surely then would a person representing their religion hold their head up high to show their beloved God that they are true.
Love to all xx

Comment:Good Lord (and I'm talking about the One God, Who is a Higher Power over everyone). Jesus, peace be upon him, was a human being sent as a Messenger from God Who is not a human being. I find it strange that people on this thread are equating the Higher Power Who created everything with Jesus, who was created. It's not so hard to understand that a Higher Power exists and that He chose to create one of His creation, that is Jesus, through a method of miraculous birth.
After all, while Jesus was born of a mother but no father, Prophet Adam was born from neither a mother nor a father. If we were going to use the logic that people use to worship Jesus, a human being and Messenger of God, then technically, Adam should be worshiped even more than Jesus, because he was born from no parents!
As far as miracles are concerned, throughout history, human beings around the world at various times have been blessed by the One True God to perform miracles. This is easy for One Who can create everything and anything.
Allah is simply the Arabic word for The One God. That means a Higher Power Who created and continues to create, Who is described constantly in the Quran as "the Merciful, the Compassionate". He is Just and Powerful, and He is also the Loving, the Creator, the Healer, and much more.
The argument that Allah is not a "loving" God is an old one that Christian missionaries have long used in Muslim countries, and now, in Western ones, to falsely give the impression that "the God of the Muslims is one of hate and vengeance". This is false. It is also convenient propaganda.
If a person is interested in learning more about Islam and Jesus, I would highly recommend reading the Quran (particularly chapters 3, 5, and 19, as well as a good book about Jesus written by a Muslim, not a Christian polemicist or missionary, whose agenda is usually to ascribe to Islam what is false and malicious.

Comment:Mimi: get your facts straight. If you read the article above, you will see that Muslims hold Jesus, peace be upon him, in great respect and love him. We do not put him down. Yes, we believe he is a Messenger and a Prophet of God, and that does not diminish our love and esteem for him. Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, did not copy the Bible. The reason there are so many similarities between the Bible and the Quran is because the original source of both is Divine Revelation. The Bible however, as we know, has been changed by human beings throughout the ages. The Quran has not. The Quran was sent to confirm those parts of the Bible or Gospel, that are correct and clarify those that are not. And yes, the Truth is always there and we ask God, Who is not a man or human being, but the Highest Power, to guide us all to it.
