Select an Ayah from the Quran for Your Marriage/waleema Card

By Sound Vision Staff Writer

If you are planning to print a card for your marriage or waleema, it is a good idea to print some Quranic text on the front of the card. You can make photocopy of the relevant text page and then cut and paste on a page before giving to your printer. You can select nice Arabic calligraphy and bismillah also from the Islamica clipart. Also see a sample text for the card.

Here are some sample ayahs (verses) from the Quran:

Gardens of perpetual bliss: they shall enter there, as well as the righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring: and angels shall enter unto them from every gate (with the salutation): "Peace unto you for that ye persevered in patience! Now how excellent is the final home!" (Quran 13: 23, 24)

(The angels close to Allah pray) "Our Lord, admit them to the Gardens of eternal bliss which You have promised them, together with all their righteous parents, spouses and descendants. You are the Almighty, the Wise One. (Quran 40:8)

It is He Who created you from a single person, and made his mate of like nature, in order that he might dwell with her (in love). When they are united, she bears a light burden and carries it about (unnoticed). When she grows heavy, they both pray to Allah their Lord, (saying): "If Thou givest us a goodly child, we vow we shall (ever) be grateful." (Quran 7:189)
