Public Schooling:

The majority of Muslim parents have no choice but to send their children to public schools. It is estimated that there are at least 2 million Muslim children in the public school system in America. Education in public school is supposed to be secular and objective but it often reflects and perpetuates values and behaviors which our Creator does not want us to have. And yet, most of us may not have any other alternative.

Are our children at risk? As parents, we need to know how to help guide our children through the gauntlet of the public system. How can we provide basic Islamic information and training to our children? How should we respond if we find some anti Islamic material in our children's text books? How should your child handles sexual advances by other students or teacher? Do you know that your children's textbooks teach them that homosexuality is normal and opposition to it is homophobia?
