Comment: Assalamualaikum,
I am a victim of past abuse. Currently striving to move on and improve my own character. I am certain that Allah is the only God who had helped me throughout the way. I have been able to construct a new life with an incredible muslim man. And now we have a son together. One thing that I am mostly afraid of is to not be able to stop the chain of abuse. I have been striving my best and I understand that motherhood and maintaining a family can be stressful at times. As much as possible I would like to be guided on how I can be a good muslim to my son and my husband. I do recognize that I still have isolation issue and inability to trust others, and a bit of deficiency of character left over from past abuse. Is there any literature that can help me deal with my past abuse and lead a good motherhood and family. Last thing I want to happen is to have my son experience what I have experienced. Please help !
