Muslim parents are bombarded with displays of support for homosexuality in every kind of public space, form of media, and community setting. We must quickly learn about Islamic guidance on the matter and and how to protect our children and our rights in the process.

Halloween can be an uncomfortable time for Muslims. Where the general public sees All Hallows’ Eve as an opportunity to dress up and pretend, for Muslim parents, it is a time when we go against the mainstream to reaffirm our own values and traditions.

Muslims across the U.S. and Canada are struggling to deal with the onslaught of LGBTQ+ discourse. Community activities and publicity campaigns have been especially vigorous during June, also known as Pride Month.

The following public statement was released on May 23, 2023, and carries the signatures of more than 300 imams, scholars, and community leaders from across North America.

The pervasive influence of modern identity politics is placing Muslim families in a complex crisis, as widespread acceptance and evolving beliefs surrounding LGBTQ+ and gender fluidity thrust themselves into the forefront.
